1st First Officer

Job Description:

The First Officer is an OOW as required by the manning matrix and at all other times the Captain considers necessary.

The First Officer is the ship's designated Navigator and is responsible to the Captains for the appraisal, planning, execution and monitoring of current and future cruises.

The First Officer will undertake rounds on completion of his watch as appropriate, they are to include those area that are necessary for ensuring the safety, security and good order of the vessels, her crew and passengers.

He understudies and assists the Senior first Officer in his role as Statutory Safety Officer. He coordinates and maintains Deck Log Book and official Log Book.
