Job Description:
Main Responsibilities:
- Work as a team member.
- Perform any special duty requested by Cruise Director and Hotel Manager.
- Follow safe work routines and notify your supervisors of any dangerous or unsafe place within your assigned area of work.
- Identify the number and nationality of overseas passengers in advance.
- Translate relevant menus and shore excursion information.
- Prepare welcome letters and to include information such as Emergency Drill, invitation to â??International Cocktail Partyâ??, Help Desk location and times, excursion deadlines, exchange rates, useful telephone nos. of consulate, etc.
- Prepare main copy of Daily Programme with additional space to include other information such as Captainâ??s report, weather report, bridge visit and specific messages.
- Prepare Farewell Letter including disembarkation details and questionnaire in order to gauge passenger feedback.
- If necessary, liaise with Port Agents and Shore Excursions department in Ipswich.
- Liaise with Maitre Dâ?? and Executive Chef regarding special requirements.
- Meet and greet passengers at check-in/check-out and in case of special embarkation port, i.e. Amsterdam, liaise with GSA in advance.
- Translate and arrange Emergency Drill in conjunction with the Cruise Director.
- Arrange â??International Welcome Cocktailâ?? in order to introduce passengers to each other and to Senior Officers and to use the opportunity to repeat aspects of the â??Welcome Letterâ??, include port talk, special events, onboard and special announcement. Where relevant, arrange â??Farewellâ?? cocktail.
- Etc.
