2nd Deck Officer

Job Description:

Engaged in Watchkeeping duties on a rotational basis with other Deck Officers.

The Second Officer is an OOW, or Junior OOW, as required by the relevant manning matrix or as required by the Captain. Undertakes rounds on completion of his watch as appropriate. Rounds are to include those areas that are necessary for ensuring the safety, security and good order of the ship, her crew and passengers
The extent of the rounds will be defined by the Captain.

Responsible for ordering of stores as approved by the Staff Captain
Maintains overtime and ILO records. Understudies and assists Senior Second Officer as required. Socialises and mixes with guests in a courteous manner as required .
